I’m so glad I found Relaxed Driving School and, especially, Robert. I came to Robert after a really intimidating first experience with another driving instructor, which left me feeling very anxious about driving. I had been driving for years in the Philippines, but these were my first formal driving lessons, so I had a lot to adjust to with Australian road rules and driving in Brisbane. From my very first lesson with Robert, I felt completely different. He is incredibly patient, calm, encouraging and clear in his explanations. Whenever I didn’t understand something verbally, he would use a board to visualise it for me and explain not just what I should do, but why. He was also really good at knowing when I was nervous and helping me feel at ease. I recently passed my driving test, and Robert was genuinely so happy for me. It made the whole moment even more special. Thank you, Robert, for being such a kind and supportive part of my driving journey. I genuinely looked forward to every lesson with you. I highly recommend Robert, especially to anyone who is nervous or anxious about learning to drive. You’ll be in very good hands. ??

As a return driver after about 20 years, I found a driving school whose instructor shattered my confidence in driving, blaming steering issues with his car on my driving ability. It took me a long time to get past that, and when I did, am I pleased I found Relax Driving School. Besides an instructor, Robert has held just about every class of licence you can obtain in many fields of work. With his wealth of experience, patience, and knowledge of the road rules, I was not only given patient, proactive, and CORRECT instruction, but also a plethora of advice, common sense, and practical knowledge of current driving conditions that were not applicable to me 20 years ago. This only comes from many, many years of experience driving professionally for a living, and not just from doing a few courses and a test. I always felt comfortable and calm during my lessons, and the only times Robert had to raise his voice to me, was to tell me to stop talking so much and concentrate LOL (good advice too). If you need an instructor who is patient (boy did he need to be VERY patient at times lol), will not mess you around, and has a personal drive to see their clients pass their test the first time, and will turn you into safe and confident driver, there is no better than Robert for you to achieve your goal of getting your licence, regardless of your background or experience. Words cant express the gratitude I have for Robert. He literally changed my life. I would recommend him to anyone.

To anyone debating if they should book Robert as an instructor don’t hesitate! I’ve had other instructors but he was by far the best. He was very patient in teaching me all of the required manoeuvres and whenever I made mistakes he would always help without being judgemental (even after always forgetting the same things). He’s a really nice and funny person and without his lessons and test day package I definitely wouldn’t have passed. He helped teach me things I never knew. And prepared/ calmed me down for my test, so I couldn’t recommend him more!
